Genital warts are a viral disease caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), spread through sexual contact or skin-to-skin contact. Genital warts can occur in both men and women. In women, they appear in the vagina and cervix; in men, on the penis and scrotum. Genital warts manifest as small bumps and growths in the genital area and rectum. Various treatments are available for sexually transmitted genital warts.
