The diagnosis of neuropathy is made based on the patient's complaints, clinical examination, laboratory tests, and electromyography (EMG). EMG is a very important diagnostic method in the diagnosis of neuropathy. In this method, thin electrodes (wires) are attached to the patient's arms and legs, and low-dose electrical stimulation is applied to evaluate the thickness of the peripheral nerves, whether the nerve sheath is damaged, and whether the electrical conduction of the nerve is normal.
