Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) is a method used for the treatment of aortic valve disease, particularly observed in individuals in older age groups. Initially, it was developed as an alternative therapy for patients with high surgical risk due to advanced age, additional cardiac or systemic comorbidities, risks associated with general anesthesia, or unsuitability for open-heart surgery. However, with the increasing experience in TAVI procedures and successful clinical outcomes, it has now become an applicable treatment option for patients with moderate or low surgical risk.
