There are two clinical forms of lupus.
Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (DLE): Only the skin is affected. Lesions on the patient's skin may leave scars.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE): Affects the skin and organs. If left untreated, it can damage vital organs, causing permanent damage and life-threatening complications.
