The first day after the procedure is crucial. A companion should be present as temporary paresthesia (numbness and tingling) in the legs may occur, along with potential health issues such as changes in blood pressure and dizziness. Assistance should be provided during the transfer home after the procedure. Driving is strictly prohibited on the first day. As the medications administered during the first 48 hours gradually begin their restorative effects, these 48 hours should be spent resting in a supine position. The patient should lie on their back or side. Slightly drawing the knees towards the abdomen (to open the spinal canal) is advisable. Additionally, placing a small pillow or cushion between the legs when lying on the side is recommended.
