Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) describes a condition where blood vessels or nerves leading to the arm are compressed in the thoracic outlet. This compression typically occurs in the space between the collarbone (clavicle) and the first rib. The condition is observed approximately three times more frequently in women than in men and affects an estimated 1-2% of the general population.
