This tunnel is a narrow passageway formed by bones and ligaments. The tibial nerve is an important nerve responsible for the sensory function of the foot. Narrowing or pressure within this tunnel due to various reasons can compress the tibial nerve, leading to symptoms such as pain, numbness, and tingling.
