Myasthenia Gravis is a neuromuscular disease characterized by significant and rapid fatigue of voluntary muscles. Its most prominent symptom is muscle weakness that worsens with activity and improves with rest. Patients often feel well upon waking in the morning, but their overall condition may progressively deteriorate throughout the day. The disease can also manifest as drooping eyelids (ptosis). Symptoms commonly affect the muscles of the face, eyes, around the mouth, and the tongue, as well as the chewing and swallowing muscles, leading to difficulties in these functions.
