Consolidation therapy is a treatment phase applied in acute lymphoblastic leukemia after remission has been achieved, meaning the percentage of leukemia cells has dropped below 5%. Its purpose is to maintain the achieved remission and prevent the recurrence of the disease. This treatment is also known as intensification therapy.
