Endoscopic Ultrasonography (EUS) is an advanced diagnostic method applied similarly to standard endoscopic procedures, but it provides more detailed imaging of internal organs. This procedure, which can be used in both the upper (esophagus, stomach, duodenum) and lower gastrointestinal systems (large intestine and rectum), takes approximately 30 minutes. Patients are supported with sedative and pain-relieving medications during the procedure to ensure their comfort. Outpatient patients are typically discharged after a few hours of rest following the procedure and can seamlessly return to their normal daily activities the next day.
