Thyroid storm is a rapid and life-threatening condition that manifests with the following severe symptoms:
* Cardiovascular Symptoms: Heart rate exceeding 140 beats per minute (tachycardia), and rhythm disturbances.
* Systemic Symptoms: High fever of 40°C and above, continuous sweating, significant weight loss, diarrhea, muscle weakness.
* Neurological and Psychological Symptoms: Clouding of consciousness, tremor, intense anxiety and restlessness. Extreme fatigue can be particularly prominent in elderly individuals.
* Other Symptoms: Respiratory distress and menstrual irregularities in women may also occur.
