Pinworm infection in children can manifest with various symptoms. Conditions such as drooling from the mouth during night sleep, genital itching, teeth grinding, loss of appetite, anemia, excessive gas, belching, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting should suggest the possibility of a parasitic infection. In some cases, pinworms may be directly visible in infants' diapers. The detection of parasitic infection in very young children and infants should be carefully evaluated, as it may indicate underlying immune system issues. Adherence to basic hygiene rules and the treatment of infected individuals are crucial for controlling the infection.
