Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) is a non-surgical method that does not require an incision in the body. Consequently, patients can usually be discharged from the hospital within 1-2 days. Thanks to its high success rate and low complication risk, ESD is widely used worldwide and in our country for the removal of early-stage polyps and tumors. Its non-surgical nature and application via endoscopy make it a preferred choice, especially for elderly patients or those with systemic conditions such as heart or kidney diseases.

ESD is also effective in treating early-stage superficial cancers of the colon, stomach, and esophagus that have not yet invaded deeply. This allows patients to be treated without the need for extensive surgical operations. Advanced technological preliminary examinations are utilized to accurately determine the depth of early-stage superficial cancers. These examinations employ methods such as chromoendoscopy, magnifying endoscopes with advanced features, and endoscopic ultrasound to directly measure the tumor's depth by examining not only the inner surface of the colon but also its walls, thereby enabling precise treatment planning.
