After a TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) examination, food and drink consumption should be avoided for the first two hours. Drowsiness and a slight feeling of dizziness caused by the procedure may persist for several more hours. Therefore, it is strongly advised that patients do not drive for several hours after the procedure.
