Non-surgical treatment options for uterine prolapse include pelvic floor physical therapy and pessaries. Pessaries are ring-shaped silicone medical devices that help support and hold the prolapsed uterus and other pelvic organs in place. Pelvic floor physical therapy encompasses a broad spectrum of treatments, ranging from Kegel exercises that can be performed at home to neuromuscular electrical stimulation administered in a hospital setting. Exercises such as Pilates and yoga may be recommended to strengthen pelvic floor muscles; however, their primary role is to provide preventive benefits rather than curative ones.
