Prostate cancer is staged according to the extent of its spread. The most critical factors in the staging process are whether the tumor has spread to adjacent tissues such as the bladder or rectum, and whether it has affected lymph nodes and bones. Furthermore, the Gleason Score, which indicates the aggressiveness of the tumor, and blood PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) levels also play an important role in prostate cancer staging.
