The first 24 hours following a spinal injection procedure are critically important. During this period, temporary numbness or tingling (paresthesia) in the legs, low blood pressure, or dizziness may occur, making it strongly advisable for a companion to be present with the patient. The companion should assist the patient with safe transportation home after the procedure. Driving is strictly prohibited within the first 24 hours. To allow the administered medications to fully exert their restorative effects, it is essential to rest in a supine position for the first 48 hours following the procedure. The resting position should be on the back or side; to relieve pressure on the lumbar spinal canal, it will be beneficial to slightly draw the knees towards the abdomen while lying on your back. When lying on your side, placing a small cushion or pillow between the legs is recommended.
