Uterine cancer, also known as endometrial cancer, is one of the common types of cancer affecting women. The uterus is lined with an inner layer called the endometrium. This layer regularly thickens and sheds during the menstrual cycle. When endometrial cells undergo genetic changes and proliferate uncontrollably, it leads to the development of uterine cancer.
