Obesity is a chronic disease characterized by excessive accumulation of fat in the body, resulting from an individual consuming more calories than expended. It is typically diagnosed when the Body Mass Index (BMI) is 30 or higher. This condition manifests particularly as fat accumulation around the abdomen and internal organs. Overweight and obesity lead to serious health problems such as cardiovascular diseases (arterial blockage, stroke), high cholesterol, and shortness of breath. They also reduce overall quality of life and negatively affect individuals' productivity. The rapidly increasing prevalence of obesity globally and nationally poses a significant public health issue. Therefore, the prevention and effective treatment of obesity are of paramount importance.
