The exact causes of salivary gland cancer have not yet been fully determined. Therefore, there is no known primary prevention method. Unlike cancer types directly linked to smoking, such as lung or laryngeal cancer, a definitive risk factor-cause relationship has not been established for salivary gland cancer. Currently, the most effective approach against salivary gland cancer is the early detection of the tumor and its prompt surgical removal from the body.
