In Stage 4 colon cancer, surgical intervention is generally not the primary treatment option for curative purposes. At this stage, the main goal is to control the growth of cancer cells, reduce tumor size, and alleviate disease symptoms through systemic therapies such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy. However, the situation of every Stage 4 patient varies; the treatment plan and the course of the disease are determined individually based on the extent of cancer spread, the patient's general health status, and their response to the administered treatments.
