Cardiac aneurysms often present without any symptoms. However, impaired function of the affected area can lead to heart failure and subsequently, chronic valvular heart disease. These conditions can cause persistent fatigue, shortness of breath, palpitations, and chest pain. Furthermore, especially in patients not receiving anticoagulant therapy, blood clots forming in the aneurysmal area can cause serious problems such as stroke or emboli to other organs. In rare cases, rupture of the aneurysm can occur, resulting in a life-threatening emergency requiring immediate intervention.
