Symptoms of adenitis include tenderness to the touch, redness and increased warmth, fever, chills, fatigue, malaise, runny nose, sore throat, and headache. However, night sweats, shortness of breath, loss of appetite and weight loss may also occur, sometimes accompanied by pain, particularly in the bones, abdominal pain, persistent cough, intractable itching, and skin rash. Swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, and groin are also common symptoms.
