The symptoms of pericardial effusion vary depending on the degree of heart involvement. Generally, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, chest pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may be observed. Additionally, dizziness, fatigue, anxiety, and fever are also common symptoms. However, in mild cases, pericardial effusion may be asymptomatic or show no prominent symptoms.
