Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is a rare genetic disorder. Its prevalence in Western countries is approximately 2.5 cases per 100,000 people. The disease is more common, particularly in countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, where it is estimated that one in every 200 individuals in these regions is affected by FMF.
