NST may be performed in normal pregnancy follow-up after 32 weeks, depending on the physician's decision. It is usually repeated every 15 days. After 36 weeks, it can be performed weekly, and continuous monitoring is done during labor. Pregnant women at term (gestational age completed) but without onset of labor are closely monitored daily with NST.
