Tuberculosis (TB) disease manifests with a variety of symptoms. Among the most common are a cough lasting at least three weeks, often accompanied by blood-streaked sputum, and chest pain. General symptoms of tuberculosis include:

* Fever and chills
* Night sweats
* Unexplained weight loss
* Fatigue and malaise
* Loss of appetite
* Swelling in the neck (lymphadenopathy)
* Body and joint aches
* Hoarseness
* Back pain
* Hard, red or purplish lumps under the skin (erythema nodosum)
