Adenitis is a condition characterized by the inflammation of lymph nodes. Common symptoms include tenderness, redness, and increased warmth in the affected area, fever, chills, fatigue, general malaise, runny nose, sore throat, and headache. In more severe or chronic cases, night sweats, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, and weight loss may occur. Rarely, symptoms such as bone pain, abdominal pain, persistent cough, stubborn itching, and skin rash can also appear. Swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, and groin are also significant findings of adenitis.
