Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that arises from challenging and traumatic events, whether natural or human-induced, such as natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, and large fires, as well as wars, torture, sexual harassment or assault, diagnosis of a fatal illness, serious accidents, or murder.

Individuals experiencing this condition may find it difficult to adapt to their social lives following the event; they may repeatedly re-experience the traumatic event in their minds or subconsciously. Alternatively, they may exhibit an avoidance tendency, trying not to remember the event.

PTSD can negatively affect many areas of an individual's life, especially their work and social life.

Psychotherapy treatment can be applied to help individuals manage this difficult situation and regain a sense of control in their lives. When necessary, pharmacological support (medication treatment) can also be added to the treatment.
