A bone marrow test is performed to obtain detailed information about the production, maturation, and morphology of blood cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets). This test is also a critical diagnostic method for evaluating the structural integrity of the bone marrow and for diagnosing and monitoring hematological diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and the effects of other systemic diseases on the bone marrow.
