Individuals with pacemakers face potential interaction risks with X-ray (radiography) devices and metal detectors. Since such devices can potentially affect the correct functioning of a pacemaker, it is recommended they be kept at least 15 cm away from the device. Although the risk of interaction is lower with newer generation pacemakers, it is still of great importance to avoid these devices to prevent possible complications. It is crucial for patients to always carry their medical reports pertaining to their pacemakers.
