Remote patient monitoring is easily achievable through digital technologies. In this system, an electrode approximately 2x5 cm in size, placed on the chest, is synchronized with the patient's smartphone. The collected data is monitored in real-time by a specially trained hospital team, and relevant information is forwarded to the patient's doctor. This monitoring period can be extended from one day up to one month. Patients can temporarily remove and then reattach the electrode, for instance, for bathing. Throughout the monitoring period, patients have the opportunity for brief consultations with the relevant medical team or their doctor.
