Pinnaplasty, also known as otoplasty, is a surgical procedure aimed at correcting the appearance, shape, or size of the ears. Typically performed when the angle between the ear and the head is significantly pronounced, this surgery can also be chosen to address congenital ear deformities, trauma, and asymmetry in the ears. This procedure is generally considered by children or adults who experience self-confidence issues due to aesthetic concerns. Otoplasty can be performed at any age once ear development is complete, meaning after the ears have reached their full size. While it can generally be performed on children between 4 and 6 years of age, it is also a suitable option for adults.
