Depending on the depth of the chemical peel application, some temporary effects may be observed on the skin after the procedure. For superficial peels, mild redness and fine flaking, typically lasting 1 to 5 days, are common. For medium-depth peels, in addition to more prominent redness, swelling (edema), and a feeling of tightness in the skin, the formation of a brownish layer that will peel off is expected. This layer usually peels off naturally within 7 to 10 days, revealing renewed skin.
