In leukemia treatment, the therapy aimed at maintaining the initial remission achieved and minimizing the risk of disease relapse is called 'consolidation therapy'. This phase is applied in confirmed cases where the leukemia cell percentage has dropped below 5% and the patient is in remission. It is also commonly known as 'reinforcement therapy'.
