Lupus disease is clinically classified into two main forms.
Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (DLE): This form is a chronic skin disease that exclusively affects the skin. Skin lesions can lead to permanent scarring.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE): This form is a more severe autoimmune disease that can affect the skin and internal organs (such as kidneys, heart, lungs, brain, etc.). If left untreated, it can cause serious and permanent damage to vital organs, posing life-threatening risks.
