Not all acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients are candidates for transplantation. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is recommended for patients under 60 years of age who fall into intermediate or high-risk groups based on their risk stratification. For patients over 60 years of age, transplantation may be considered, taking into account their clinical performance status and risk group.
