The widespread belief that surgical circumcision causes premature ejaculation is not supported by scientific evidence. On the contrary, some studies suggest that circumcision might play a potential role in preventing or treating premature ejaculation. These research works present findings indicating that the removal of the foreskin could be used as a treatment method for premature ejaculation. On the other hand, there are also publications concerning a decrease in penile sensitivity among circumcised men. However, while the relationship between circumcision and premature ejaculation is still debated in scientific circles, the generally accepted view is that circumcision does not directly cause premature ejaculation.
