Parkinson's disease typically manifests with symptoms between the ages of 40 and 70. On rare occasions, it can occur in younger age groups, with genetic predisposition almost always being the underlying cause. Individuals with a family history of Parkinson's have a statistically higher risk of developing the condition compared to the general population. Epidemiological data also indicate a higher prevalence in men than in women. In Turkey, an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 people are currently undergoing treatment for Parkinson's disease.
