Polysomnography, a comprehensive sleep study, is typically conducted in healthcare facilities. However, to mitigate potential sleep disturbances caused by unfamiliar environments, these tests are increasingly performed in patients' homes. The home sleep study, often referred to as polygraphy, utilizes specialized devices designed to ensure patient comfort, allow natural movement during sleep, and maintain overall sleep quality. Patients receive clear instructions on device usage and can easily attach the necessary electrodes at home. The device is then returned to the hospital the following day for evaluation of the collected data by a specialist physician.
