Based on semen analysis results, various diagnoses can be made. A reduced sperm count is termed "oligozoospermia," while impaired sperm motility is referred to as "asthenozoospermia." A sperm count below 5 million per milliliter is defined as "severe oligozoospermia," whereas the complete absence of sperm in a semen sample is known as "azoospermia." There are two main forms of azoospermia:
• Non-obstructive azoospermia, which is associated with a lack of sperm production in the testes.
• Obstructive azoospermia, which develops due to blockages in the sperm ducts.
