The internet, beneficial in many areas including communication and education, can negatively impact children's mental and physical health, leading to anxiety disorders and obesity, especially when used uncontrollably during childhood. Long hours spent using the internet can lead to inactivity in children, along with eating disorders and orthopedic problems. As children become increasingly isolated from social environments, their eating habits can change while they remain sedentary in front of the internet. Consequently, they rapidly gain weight and face the threat of obesity.
