Gaining excessive weight after buttock aesthetics can negatively impact the results of the procedure and distort the shape of the buttocks. Especially in patients who have undergone fat removal (liposuction), weight gain can lead to disproportionate fat accumulation in the same area or other parts of the body by causing remaining fat cells to grow, thereby disrupting overall body symmetry. For this reason, all patients who undergo liposuction are advised to avoid weight gain in the post-operative period, regardless of the area of application. Since individuals typically choose such aesthetic operations to get rid of excess fat or to sculpt specific areas, maintaining post-procedure weight is of great importance. In augmentations performed with fat transfer (fat injection), if the transferred fat cells successfully establish, weight gain can also lead to increased volume and excessive growth in these areas. Conversely, rapid or excessive weight loss can result in a reduction in buttock volume, sagging, and a significant decrease in the amount of transferred fat. Balanced and stable weight management is critically important for the longevity of the results and the preservation of aesthetic integrity.
