It is not possible to completely eliminate a pinworm infection in as short a time as 3 hours. This condition requires medical treatment. Treatment typically involves antiparasitic medications administered in two doses. The first dose effectively kills existing parasites; however, it may take several days for the parasites to be completely eliminated. Since antiparasitic medications are generally not effective against parasite eggs, it is crucial to take a second dose approximately two weeks after the first, aiming to target any new worms that may hatch from eggs.
