Early diagnosis of Addison's disease can be challenging. The diagnostic process typically involves measuring blood cortisol levels and, in certain situations, specific stimulation tests. To differentiate Addison's disease from secondary adrenal insufficiency, Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) levels in the blood are evaluated. For accurate results, these blood tests are preferably conducted between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM.
