A Whole-Body MRI examination provides a comprehensive scan of the body, including the brain, neck, lungs, chest cavity, abdominal organs (liver, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal glands, bladder, and others), prostate in men, and uterus and ovaries in women. Partially, bone and muscle structures can also be visualized during this scan. To obtain clearer images of moving organs, patients are asked to hold their breath for short periods during the scan. For this cooperation to be achieved and for a successful imaging to be obtained, it is important for the patient to be conscious and alert. In addition to standard imaging packages, a "Whole-Body Diffusion MRI" (WB-DWI) examination, which plays a critical role in detecting tumoral tissues, is also performed. This specialized method is applied separately to all scanning areas, then combined with computer programs and evaluated in detail in 3D. Whole-Body Diffusion MRI is of great importance, especially for the identification of cancerous tissues and lymph nodes.
