The tricuspid clip is implanted using a minimally invasive transcatheter approach. The device is advanced through a vein in the groin, guided by real-time four-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and fluoroscopy. This procedure does not involve any surgical incision or opening of the chest. The intervention typically lasts approximately one hour. Patients usually require a single overnight hospital stay and are able to return home the following day.
