Progeria (Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome) is a rare genetic disorder that causes premature aging and, consequently, early death in children. The average life expectancy for individuals with Progeria is typically around 13 to 14 years. However, in some cases, they have been documented to live up to 20 years. The primary causes of death associated with the disease are myocardial infarction (heart attack) and stroke.
