In the diagnosis of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle), the physician first conducts a detailed anamnesis, evaluating the patient's symptoms and medical history. This is followed by a physical examination, including auscultation of the heart with a stethoscope. To further support the diagnosis, various diagnostic tests may be performed. These typically include blood tests, transthoracic echocardiogram, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray, and Holter monitoring.
