Uterine prolapse (pelvic organ prolapse) is a condition that can affect women of all ages. Although rare, it can even occur in women who have not given birth. While it is more common in women who have had multiple or difficult births, cases can be observed even in women in their 20s. The incidence increases with age: it can be seen in approximately one-quarter of women in their 40s, one-third of women in their 60s, and half of women in their 80s. However, uterine prolapse should not be considered a natural and acceptable consequence of aging. Many women, particularly due to the perception that "it just happens with age," hide this condition and neglect to seek treatment.
